Recognising the excellence of emerging leaders within the mutuals industry
AM Institute is committed to the education and professional development of young professionals working within the mutual sector.
The Emerging Leader Tertiary Education Scholarship Award continues a proud tradition of recognising emerging leaders within the mutuals industry at a national level over the past nine years. Sponsored by CGU and offered in partnership with AM Institute, the Award provides a unique opportunity for the successful nominee to win a scholarship to undertake an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in Management.

2011 Abacus Emerging Leader Program
The Bridges Emerging Leader Mutual Industry Award is specifically targeted at up-and-coming credit union or building society managers who want to build a leadership career in the industry. The Award, valued at up to $10,000, will cover travel, accommodation and attendance at an industry specific conference.
Nominees will need to demonstrate:
• Their commitment to the mutual financial services industry
• Innovation in management
• Aptitude for leadership
• Ability to implement initiatives that benefit their credit union or building society
Nominees must also be aged 35 or under and be a member of the AM Institute. The recipient of the 2011 Bridges Emerging Leader Award will be announced in October at the Convention in Cairns.
